Swerk Out
I’ve used this portmanteau “swerk out” as a means of
motivation when I’m trying to get other friends to work out at the gym or go do
some stadiums, anything to get up and get them moving around to stay fit. It’s
a combination of sweat, workout, and also twerk believe it or not.
I’ve only had one of my workout buddies use it towards me
when I was a little hesitant to head to the gym. Almost everyone else that has
heard me say it hasn’t given me any negative feedback. I’ve noticed that using
this term persistently when someone is giving me excuses or doesn’t want to be
active at that specific time in fact pushes a little harder to make it happen.
I’m still being persistent with the use of this word to see if it catches on
but I haven’t really had any major negative or positive feedback; I’m positive
that soon enough it will catch on and who knows, maybe they’ll be on fitness shirts
somewhere down the line.
I could totally see this catching on..especially at the gym. I like it. :)
